High School ReImagined
Where Rigor Meets the Real World
3DE by Junior Achievement reengineers the high school experience to better reflect the dynamic pace of activity and interconnectedness of life beyond the classroom walls. From school structure to curriculum design and teacher development, 3DE is a comprehensive model, grounded in authentic, project-based application through interdisciplinary case studies.
Piloted in Atlanta Georgia in 2015, this first-of-its-kind model launched at Ballou High School in the District and Potomac High School in Prince George’s County in Fall 2020, with plans to replicate in other schools across our region.

Junior Achievement and the business community are united in the belief that equitable access to high quality education is the level to economic mobility. As a result of that belief and investment, high school students in Greater Washington are setting a foundation for success that builds year over year.
In March of 2020, Junior Achievement of Greater Washington became one of thousands of organizations across the world that had to make a quick and intense early-pandemic pivot to continue our mission. And pivot we did: we are proud to say that our all-virtual efforts were a success, allowing us to deliver the programs that offer our students the access and opportunities that set them up for success in life after high school.
