Get Involved with JA: Caregivers and Students
You Matter
Financial well-being is what equals the playing field for all kids. Each and every Greater Washington student benefits from Junior Achievement’s experiential learning opportunities. For students, understanding the real-world skills necessary to build financial and job security helps reduce anxiety surrounding life after high school. Not only do JA programs and experiences provide young people with direct and authentic access to business and community mentors, but they also introduce students to like-minded peers from across the region, nation and world.
JA provides caregivers with the peace-of-mind that comes from knowing their student has the opportunity to learn about financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship in a dedicated, hands-on, and specialized out-of-classroom setting, working with trustworthy, qualified volunteers. Caregivers can benefit from serving as a JA volunteer and spending time with their child and their peers, as well as making a tangible difference in the community.
