Washington, D.C. (January 31, 2019) — Junior Achievement USA announced that Junior Achievement of Greater Washington is the recipient of a 2017-2018 5 Star Award. This award recognizes staff and boards in JA Areas that meet JA USA’s operational standards for compliance, student impact, operational efficiency, financial stability and sustainability.
“These Five Star Award winners represent the best operations Junior Achievement has to offer,” said Jack Kosakowski, president and CEO of JA USA. “They set the standard by which Junior Achievement’s success is measured at the local level. Their commitment and dedication to young people is reflected in their achieving this honor.”
This year a total of 65 JA Areas qualified for a 3, 4 or 5 Star Award, up from 58 qualifying Areas last year. JA of Greater Washington is one of 45 JA Areas nationwide to earn the acclaimed 5 Star Award.
