Today, Junior Achievement of Greater Washington unveiled a new initiative called Seats for Success. Seats for Success is a fundraising program where businesses or individuals can name an auditorium chair at one of our three JA Finance Park® facilities in Fairfax County, Prince George’s County, or Montgomery County (opening in 2018) while supporting the delivery of the JA Finance Park® program in that region.
When students arrive at any one of our JA Finance Parks®, their journey begins in the auditorium. They leave behind their lives as a middle school student and receive a tablet computer with a digital life scenario— avatar, career, salary, family, debt and savings history, and credit score. These first moments are critical to the authenticity and relevance of the innovative JA Finance Park® personal finance experience.
Now, Junior Achievement® is inviting others to become a part of these first moments. For a $1,000 donation, a business or individual can name a chair in auditorium (in perpetuity). This includes a plaque on the chair with the individual or business’ name and recognition on MyJA.org, JAAnnualReport.org, and on JA® of Greater Washington’s social media accounts. All funds raised through the Seats for Success program directly support the delivery of the JA Finance Park® program across our region.
By becoming a Seats for Success partner, you are making a powerful statement regarding your commitment to empowering the students of our region to be more prepared for the future than any generation in history.
