This October Junior Achievement® teamed up with Turner Impact Capital, whose mission is to make both a financial and societal impact through investments serving the community. At their Regency Pointe Apartments Community Day in District Heights, Maryland, members of the Junior Achievement® education team showcased our K-12 financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs to residents; while parents from Andrew Jackson Middle School asked questions about budgeting and their student’s upcoming trip to JA Finance Park® Prince George’s County.
Residents were pleased to learn about local businesses, where they spend their hard-earned money, investing in programs to improve their lives. Local businesses were motivated to build relationships with non-profit organizations supporting the mission of financial literacy, health, and education. We look forward to collaborating with businesses and organizations who understand the importance of connecting with residents and patrons of the community; it’s what helps communities thrive.
