Mr. Shulman, Managing Director in the Washington office, has been employed by Allied Capital since 2001. Prior to joining Allied Capital, Mr. Shulman served as the President and CEO of Onyx International, LLC, a venture capital firm, from 1994 to 2001. Prior to his involvement with Onyx, Mr. Shulman served as Director of Development for the Tower Companies, a diversified portfolio of private equity and real estate investments. He currently serves as a director of ChemLink Laboratories LLC and as a member of the investment committees of Taiwan Mezzanine Fund and Founder China Partners, L.P. Mr. Shulman earned his B.S. from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
