Jim is currently CEO of CEO Project, LLC which focuses on helping CEOs of businesses with $25M in revenue or higher bring their revenues and profits to higher levels. They use a combination of strategic consultation to identify opportunities and CEO peer groups to help their members.
Jim has over 20 years of experience in leading international high technology companies in multiple industries.
Most recently, Jim was responsible for the telecommunications service assurance business of Spirent PLC which had peak revenue of $263 million. He focused on extending the business in Europe and Asia, while continuing to grow their position as the leading provider in North America of telecommunications network and service assurance solutions for DSL and advanced digital services.
With over 20 years of leadership in technology, mergers and acquisitions, engineering, sales and marketing, he brings experience in managing organizations in both public and private environments across many functional areas.
His experience has ranged across multiple industries including semiconductor, electronic components, automotive, polymers, medical, capital equipment, instrumentation, controls, HVAC, analytical laboratory and telecommunications.
Jim has also successfully built, acquired and lead several companies, including operating business units with multiple sites across four countries - this group grew by over 300% under his leadership.
The author of over a dozen published technical papers and articles, Jim holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
He was on the board of directors of the Telecommunications Industry Association and the advisory board of “Telecommunications” magazine. He is a member of Potomac Officers Club. He is on the Cable Advisory Committee for Montgomery County and is a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Examiner. He is a soccer player and has run multiple marathons.
He resides in Potomac with his wife, Denise and two children.
